Singer Amy Black knows culture shock. She’s the daughter of a preacher, who grew up moving through the South and Midwest. When she was 16 years old her family moved from Alabama to Massachusetts. Her parents had strict rules — no radio, no dating, and no dances — which is why we were pleasantly surprised when she performed an original song called “Meet Me on the Dance Floor” in our studios last March.

Amy Black has just released a new album, This is Home, and she’ll be performing tomorrow night at The Parlor Room in Northampton.
