When the FBI finally brought in alleged Boston mobster James “Whitey” Bulger last week, a lot of us saw his mug shot and thought: “That’s ‘Whitey?”
The bald, bearded man bore little resemblance to the mustachioed, bespectacled guy on the FBI’s “most wanted” poster.
Forensic artist Patty Cornell says Whitey managed to outwit the FBI’s age-advancing sketch composite technology with little more than a beard.
