Obama Delivers Commencement Address At Worcester Tech
President Obama was in Massachusetts Wednesday to deliver the commencement address at Worcester Technical High School, which was one of the lowest performing schools in the state when it was nearly shut down 16 years ago. However, it’s since made a significant turnaround and was named a “Blue Ribbon School” in 2013.
- “Obama has been putting a spotlight on his education policies this week, drawing attention to efforts to lower student debt. But Obama has also been eager to showcase programs that break from the traditional classroom format or that are designed to improve the nation’s science and technology workforce.”
