Political leaders and public safety officials from all six New England states gathered for a day long conference in Boston Thursday to discuss new ways to to stem the illegal gun trade.

To better understand illegal guns in Boston, Mayor Martin Walsh has hired Harvard University researcher Anthony Braga to examine what happens once guns are illegally trafficked into the city..
