Los Rumberos de Boston has been heating up the local music scene for the past few years, with its unique brand of rumba-pop. The trio is made up of three young men from Mexico who found each other while studying at Berklee College of Music.

The band, which recently won Best International Artist at the Boston Music Awards, performs Wednesday night at the Berklee Performance Center — but first, the band joined WBUR’s Sacha Pfeiffer in Radio Boston’s studio.
