April 8, 2013 (Ann and Graham Gund Gallery, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/Courtesy of The Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum, Dallas/Photograph © Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.)

You’re about to hear a story about a man from Switzerland who is first bewitched by Japanese history in Paris, goes on to build a real estate empire in Dallas, Texas, then, uses the proceeds to amass one of the largest private collections of armor in the world, and then brings that to Boston.

In other words, this is a story about “the way of the Samurai”, and how it made its way, to the MFA.

Guest

Gabriel Barbier-Mueller, art collector; Chairman and CEO of Harwood International
