The daughter of a preacher, she was used to a nomadic lifestyle but nothing could have prepared her for the biggest move yet: Alabama to Bedford, Massachusetts.

Her radically different home didn’t help either — no radio, no dances, no dating.

Despite her strict upbringing,  she found her way with the help of music.
