Coping With ADHD In Adulthood
When you think about attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, an image of a young boy bouncing off walls and struggling to pay attention probably springs to mind.
But in fact, more adults are now being diagnosed with ADHD — about 4 percent of the population — which often causes distractibility, impulsivity, forgetfulness and disorganization.
Dr Craig Surman, neuropsychiatrist and scientific co-ordinator of the Adult ADHD research program at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is also co-author of new book, “Fast Minds: How to Thrive if You Have ADHD or Think You Might.”
