Remembering Boston Cowboy Rex Trailer
Rex Trailer — Massachusetts’ real life cowboy — died at the age of 84 Wednesday night. According to an announcement on his website, he “passed away surrounded in love and song by his family.”
Trailer was the star of the television show “Boomtown” in the 1960s and 1970s, and he enchanted a generation of baby boomers.
Radio Boston co-host Anthony Brooks spoke to Trailer in March of 2012 about his remarkable career and what it was like to be a real cowboy deep in the heart of New England.
