Look, Congress has been getting more and more partisan for the last 40 years!  The number of bills passed has dropped to lower and lower levels.  Yet we keep asking people to write to their representatives to express their opinions.   Isn’t this the definition of insanity, trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results?  I’m sorry, but this is due to a systemic problem, not “us versus them” partisan politics.  Why aren’t we talking about what’s wrong with the structure of government today, rather than just blame the other party or specific elected officials.  Otherwise we’re ‘beating a dead horse’ or ‘rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic’ … or pick any tired overused cliche.

Hosts Meghna Chakrabarti and Anthony Brooks introduce us to newsmakers, big thinkers and artists and bring us stories of relevance to Bostonians here and around the region. Live every weekday at 3.
