Again, good reporting on disaster. But what’s needed is to put constant spotlight on the fossil fuel industry – name names, for Pete’s sake: Shell is drilling in the Chukchi Sea: sheer lunacy. Slaking our “oil thirst” while ensuring our children and grandchildren will be pushed off the cliff into climate hells that will make Sandy look like a walk on the beach. Why not run a story on what Germany is doing in re: alternative energies? See what’s happening in Europe.  Then compare the shameless, appalling inaction of the US as it labors under the heel of oil and gas corporations as they buy our Presidents and Congress and make record-breaking profits by going for “extreme energies” which will push us further and further down the road to climate disaster. Last time I wrote you I suggested you interview Michael Klare (renowned writer on oil, respected by Defense Dept as well as by environmentalists), James Hansen, you don’t have o go to Bill McKibben if he’s too controversial for you. See my own work at Tom Dispatch.org. Regards, Ellen Cantarow
