Elizabeth Warren Tries To Put Heritage Controversy Behind Her

Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren is continuing to try to put a controversy regarding her claims of Native American heritage behind her.

She joined Radio Boston to discuss how her campaign has handled the issue and the Democratic primary.

I’ve been listening to this with a lot of interest. and I’ve been thinking, and coming to the conclusion that the press in MA is sexist.. That right- sexist.. Way too much time, money, radio time, and column space has been spent on this story. .However when Scott Brown ran, the local press fell all over him.. Not one serious story was dedicated to what he did while he was here as a legislator. None!!. And so far, no stories have been dedicated to what he has done, or hasn’t and how he has voted while in the Senate.. That’s two years worth of votes that you should be looking at!!. I also got to listen to the sad, and elegiac story about the young lady from Wayland, who graduated from Yale, was going to work at the New Yorker and was killed in the auto accident. It seems the only way to get a nice story about yourself is to be dead.. YEs the press has written well, thought out, non-silly stories about Elizabeth Warren, but that was before she ran for office. When she was down in DC. If you’ve ever wondered why Massachusetts doesn’t have any women senators, or women governmors and few if any arepresentatives, this is part of the reason why.. The press insists on chasing non-important stolries like this while ignroing Scott Brown’s voting record.. This is sexist!!

I know the show was coming to an end, but couldn’t the interview have gone on longer and then replayed or posted on line. The hourly news update didn’t really contain anything of interest that Friday afternoon. Especially considering how WBUR was second only to the Herald in harping about this non-story.
