Week In Review: WFNX Sold, Schilling Defaults

(Sharon Brody/WBUR)

(Sharon Brody/WBUR)

This week we got a glimpse into the possible future of health care reform when the Massachusetts Senate passed a sweeping cost control bill that will now head to the House.

News broke this week that independent Boston rock station WFNX will be sold to Clear Channel, pending approval by the FCC.

And Curt Schilling’s video game company, 38 Studios, had some trouble paying the bills this week. They defaulted on a $1.1 million payment to the state of Rhode Island and the head of the state’s Economic Development Corp., the state agency that handed out a $75 million loan guarantee to the company, resigned.

We talk about those stories and more Radio Boston’s week in review.
