Romney’s Path Again Unsettled After Santorum Sweep

After winning in Colorado, Minnesota, and Missouri on Tuesday night, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, was whoopin’ it up.

“Your votes today were not just heard loud and wide across the state of Missouri and Minnesota, but they were heard loud and louder all across this country and particularly in a place that I suspect may be in Massachusetts,” Santorum told supporters. “They were heard particularly well tonight.”

Well, they were, at least by former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.

“This was a good night for Rick Santorum. I want to congratulate Senator Santorum, wish him the very best. We’ll keep on campaigning down the road but I expect to become the nominee with your help,” Romney said after the defeats – being somewhat gracious in the face of a presidential primary hat trick by Santorum.
